Welcome to Literacy Legends, a program that focuses on developing your child’s reading and writing abilities through various fun, play-based activities. We aim to improve your child’s pencil grip, letter formations and sounds, letter spacing, punctuation, legibility, finger and hand strength, and fine motor coordination.
At Literacy Legends, we understand that every child is unique and may have different needs when it comes to developing their literacy skills. That’s why we offer an in-person intake session to meet and greet therapists, review your child’s capabilities, and ensure the program suits your child.
Our program consists of three 3-hour sessions in a small group setting over a 3-day period. These sessions are run by a qualified Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist specialising in developing literacy skills.
when to seek professional support.
We recommend seeking professional support if your child has difficulty holding their pencil correctly, has trouble with reading and handwriting, struggles with letter sounds and formations, or presents with fine motor challenges. Our team of therapists can provide personalised support to help your child develop these skills and build their confidence.

Upon completion of the program, our therapists will provide a 5-10 minute overview with parents, outlining their child’s participation and outcomes. We will also provide a speech therapy document outlining therapy activities to continue to work on at home, an occupational therapy document outlining therapy activities to continue to work on at home, and a certificate of completion for your child.
We also provide a goodie bag to each child upon completion of their literacy legends program.
